Rwanda Bourbon

We just broke open our bag of Rwandan Bourbon from the Rusenyi coffee growers association in the Lake Kivu region. This group of small farms only produces three containers of coffee each year. Grown in volcanic soil at 1500-1800 meters, this coffee is hand-picked, fully washed and sun-dried on raised beds. The result is a coffee that has distinct notes of caramleized sugar (think creme-caramel or flan), dates and raisins. It has a very pleasant mouth feel and a smooth aftertaste. At our staff cupping, it was the hero coffee of the day. Available at our cafe as a pour-over or by the pound. Also available on our Website at $14 pp.
